I used something like that but with ceramic plugs to build my harness.

I wouldn't just use those alone, you have to upgrade the whole harness.

I wouldn't bother with those...The increase in current can still damage your wiring. You're better off grabbing a couple relays and drawing power striaght from the battery.

You can use a direct battery connection wire harness that are used for better power supply for HID conversion kits. They're made with heavy guage wires getting full 12V from the battery activated by a relay powered by the stock bulb plug, you'll have no worries about overloading the stock harness and the high power bulbs will get the power they need.
I bought one from ebay recently for my high beam HIDS and checked it out as good quality from the wires to the loom and sleeves to protect it, relay might be a bit cheap but its not something that fails easy. The length of the wires might be a bit short for some cars, but overall its good deal for about $15 shipped. Just make sure you get the right harness with the right plugs that you need.

The long side, opposite from the battery, was long enough to get to the headlight. But I wanted to have some slack so I cut the wires and soldered on an extra foot of wire, just my preference, but it should be fine as is.
