The light never turns on, and the system never functions.
I checked through the engine bay and the actuator and wiring harness are plugged up.
So I'm guessing it really could just be the ECU or a wiring harness.
My car (then mom's) was stripped in 1996 down while parked overnight. The dash board was completely stripped off and many componants were stolen, down to the seat belts.
After insurance low balled Toyota, the dealer had to put "the pieces back together". I have a feeling that if the cruise ECU was stolen (& if it was, hopefully replaced) it was not wired when the dealer completed the job. So I wanted to check to see if everything was attached.
Also I do have a question. I removed the glove box door so far, and I see bolts below it, but the interior trim piece covers these. I only found one screw on the left side of the trim piece by the center console. How do I remove the trim? Thanks.
