Ew, Green Dashboard. ;o

Alright, well when I bought the car, the green dashboard didn't bother me much. But after 8 months it's starting to erk me. Anything I can do with my discolored green (once dark blue) dashboard to restore the color?

I'm looking primarily for home-grown methods. Perhaps a household chemical I can use. If none exists, are there vynil color restorers, and if so, what brand/type is recommended?
Should I dye it? How? Where can I get the materials? I would just buy a dash cover, but I'm really cheap and don't like to just cover things up. If worst comes to worst, is there some supplies around the house that I can use to fashion into a dash mat?
Yeah, I know. Just about everything I do is using household materials. I don't have money to spend on the car, especially since the rise in gas. It cost me $33 to fill up my tank yesterday. @_@

I'll take a look into that. Other suggestions are welcome.
I would prefer anything that avoids removing the dash.

I had the same problem with my '88 Camry, except it was a different color.

I bought a product similar to what you see below from an automotive trim shop and it turned out well. The key is to clean the dash as clean as possible (I rubbed it with alcohol) before you apply the color to the dash.

you can always go to a local junkyard and locate a cleaner/bluer dashboard. i'm sure it shouldn't cost much more than 20 or so.

I would LOVE to go all black, maybe add some gray too. But my dad has shot me down again. Won't let me paint my interior, or take out the dash. He says you can't paint your interior (lol?) and doing so will reduce the value of the vehicle. He also says that taking out the dash would probably end up in me breaking something, and I know that's true. The black bezel near the little push lighter thing is cracked. =s
I told him that I should just buy a new dash/center console, and he then proceed to ask me if I had the money.
I don't. =S

It isnt too bad.

I've learned to remedy this problem, I usually drive at night, its dark blue then, and I'm already nocturnal.
