Your best bet is to drill a hole in the seal with a small drill bit. Then, screw in a small sheet metal screw and pull the seal with a cats paw or claw hammer. If you have some PVC pipe laying around, try and match up the new seal diameter to it. You could go to Home Depot and match up a short piece of PVC to the new seal if you don't have any.
