Hey TN, I just purchased a 92 camry I4 automatic. The car had a bad tranny, will only go front in every gear. No reverse. I brought a tranny from a junk yard and installed it. The car ran perfect for about a few hours. All of a sudden the tranny began to slip and hesitate at take off from dead stop. Then it was slipping completely. The car felt like it was in neutral in every gear. I'm not sure how may qts of oil I was supposed to put in a dry tranny. I only put 4 qts. Is this amount of oil good? Someone told me I was suppose to put 8 qts. Is this true?

the manual said transaxle need total 5.9 qt
drain refill 1.7 qt

i am not sure if differential need 1.7 qt separately
