Sorry for your loss, but Im getting the feeling that we need to devote a section for accidents... kinda getting old that every person feels the need to post this stuff.
They open just fine, but there's damage on three panels or parts, whatever you want to call it.
And a body shop wants about 2k to fix it all, and I bought the car for $700 and it was worth $1200.
well man, best of luck with your ride! and im sorry for the accident i recently had one 5 weeks ago...but i cant give-up on my car like that...hopefully you dont either.

Wow, he could tell that your bumper is damage for s split second before slamming on it ??? I meant if he was even looking ... Beside, he CAN'T prove what he said, but u can prove that he rear ended u. So whatever damage is left on the scene, he has to eat them all ...
Is there a police report? I think a rear end accident in all states is charged to the driver in the rear. I had a woman several years ago roll about 10 feet and stop to answer her phone. I barely hit her but pushed in the tailgate on her van. There were two motorcycle cops in the next lane who saw exactly what happened but it was still my fault by law. Luckily they did not give me a ticket but my insurance company paid the tab.
If there is not a police report, WHY??? NEVER, NEVER believe someone who says they will settle up with you.
i dont get how a 97 can be totalled out when the damage costs are $2000, when my damage costs were $3000 and it just barely crossed over the total mark before paint cost
