put battery in Backwards :((

Well it was late at night and I accidently put the battery on backwards and the horn sounded real loud. So I quickly un hooked the battery. I put it back on the correct way and nothing electrical works on the car. windows, speedo, radio, etc..
However, the car starts fine and runs perfect. No stalling or anything.

Any ideas?

I feel for you man, but its probably a the fuses, i.e what ever would go on without key or if u had the key in then what ever would draw current with the key in. check all fuse boxes to be safe

You blew some accessory fuses. Just pull them all, one at a time, and replace the blown ones.

A friend of mine had a similar incident with a toyota Prado SUV and it required the window bitton to be held down until (took approximately 5 seconds for the window to start moveng)it went down(or up depending on the position it got stuck in) it might be worth a try

What year and model is your car

Bad news: That'd be more than one fuse.

Good news: the ECU isn't fried yet.

How do I check the big fuses under the hood what to look for. Yea the car runs and the open door light in the dash lights up, but thats about it.

If you have the owner's manual, that should tell you everything you need to know about fuse box location, specific fuse function, and how to change. If not, get a Haynes manual at Autozone. My guess is that the larger fuses don't control interior functions. Also, I think Autozone rents meters for free as a part of their tool loanership program.

The fuse box under the hood located on driver side, right next to the air box. Test light would help ...
