3rd Generation Gen 3 Specific Quesition

Well it looks liek alot of the pictures posted on shutter fly are now gone. I was wondering where you guys ran the power wire for amps through the fire wall. Also has anyone seen a 4 chan amp mounted on the underside of the rear deck? And lastly where did you run the rca's i was going to pull the seats out and just run them under the floor carpet.

Thanks for the help.

best way that exists is running it through the wheel well to the firewall. you have to remove the drivers wheel and splash guard to get to it. other then that jsut drill yourself a new hole.

For the power wire you can run it through the firewall above the and/or beside the steering wheel. From there just pull of your door trim and run it under the carpet down the drivers side. Also run your remote wire down that side. Run your RCA cables the same way but on the passenger side. If you remove the bottom of the back seat it will be a lot easier to feed them into the trunk area.

As for the amp, you can mount it wherever you want. I probably wouldn't suggest the underside of the rear deck but with some wood screws you can attach it the back of backseats. I'm assuming you know how to do the ground wire correctly and securely but if not, just come back and I'll explain that for you too.

Good luck!

Ricer if you want any specific pictures I can take them tonight. My head unit just got here from UPS and I'll be installing it shortly.

I ended up putting my 4 gauge power cable through the same wiring harness that all the other wires go through...there's two bolts that hold it onto the firewall, unscrew those, help feed it through... yeah, simple.

That's the way I ended up running mine too, since there was already a wire that was done there for the remote/alarm system. Fairly easy to do and haven't had any issues at all in doing so.
