3rd Generation extremely hard/stiff clutch pedal (camry gen3 1993)

Hello all,

I bought my camry 5 years ago and since then the clutch is extremely stiff. i changed the clutch pressure plate twice and the whole clutch set thrice! and every time the stiffness declined only a little bit only to be stiff again in 3-5 months.

I've been googling about it for a long time as now the stiffness is at its highest ever (my leg joint hurts now!), but found nothing about it,

I did post about it before, but to no significant results as it was not a stock clutch, but now I have an original stock clutch.

Can anyone tell me what to do, the last clutch change was about 8 months ago?

Clutch systems are pretty simple. If not the pressure plate, is your hydraulic clutch system working properly? Tried bleeding it?

If you have a cable clutch (which i doubt), is the cable binding?

Adjust the master cylinder and try bleeding the clutch. That might do it

you bleed it at the slave cylinder- there is a nipple on it, and it is located on the front of the transmission.

then bleed it like you would a brake hydraulic system.

Yay!

I thought you said you replaced the entire hydraulic system thrice though(master cylinder + reservior, line and slave cylinder)? So you changed the master 4 times in total and only the 4th one was good? Talk about bad luck...

you betcha!

in this country, there is pretty much no one who can "perfectly" repair anything, let alone an old car!
