gen 3 and gen 4 suspension the same?

I've been looking at tokico shocks for my girlfriend's 2001 camry and I've noticed that the 92-95 shocks were about $100 cheaper. Is there any difference between these than the 2001 tokico shocks? They have different part numbers but I was searching around TN and people have said it worked. I just need to know for sure if everything would bolt right up.

I believe Gen 4 fits on Gen 3 but Gen 3 needs a small modification to fit on Gen 4. I'm a newb, so I could be way wrong.

You're right. I believe they are interchangeable. King springs for the Gens 3 and 4 are the same. The shocks may vary.

Here again, I'm a complete newb with this car but I want to say it has something to do with removing a tab of some sort. I would highly suggest reading through the suspension topic that's been going on lately.
