couple questions 94' 4cyl

well i bought a 94 camry le 2.2l 4cly last Wednesday, and i have a couple questions

first off it runs good, idles a lil rough, needs an oil change, and a few cosmetic rough spots(terrible paint on it), but my back right window was down when i got off work. i get inside and try to roll it up, no go. the motor in it works( or i can at least hear it working), and i can move it up and down on my own. did it just go off the track on a rough bump? how much can i expect to pay to get it fixed?

also i'd like to know where to get non-oem lights. they need to be replaced and i might as well get good looking ones while im at it.

something like these http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0047_large.jpg

Im guessing a new window regulator would be in order. Its about $35-$45 at a auto joint. Now if you cant replace it yourself then you are looking at about $200. Regarding the lights, are you referring to the headlight and tail lights? Or just a bulb? I wouldnt use any illegal bulbs. They look bad and they are...... illegal. For aftermarket lenses there are many places to go. Just google and find the lowest price.

That would be a custom jobby.

Either he painted them straight up black or used blackout tailight spray.

All i4's idle rough. If you want seafoam the intake and the gas tank for a slightly smoother idle and smoother ride.

Go to www.ebay.com for other aftermarket stuff

your right, just went to the mechanic and he priced the regulator at $120 and labor at $80, so $200 for a window.. this sucks

just do it yourself.
ive switched window regulators out of many different toyotas for friends. Its gotten to the point where i can take off a cars door panel & put the regulator in within 45 minutes if not less. =P
Well atleast in my Cam its much less. =P

just take your time, be gentle with the panel, grease up the regulator, put the panel on, thats it.

thanks but its just a nickname from my high school era.
with cars, im too 'pussy' to mod.
I work on my car non-stop just to stock.
But, I am no professional especially in comparison to the people here. I ask a crap load of questions.
Theres people here with the crazyist set ups you'll see on gen 3's, from the turbos, supercharged, and fresh looking cams.
mine is boring in comparison.

But none the less, its basically 'plug & play', it was one of the first things i did with my car.
Just be gentle & take your time. You'll have extra gas money. (: Theres really descriptive DIY here.
& of course the TN community.
