can put a sunroof on virtually any car youd like i believe
just cut a hole get sun roof glass or the install components and there you go..
but its not as easy as it sounds..
take your car to a local shop and get an estimate on the cost and make sure they can do that

like they said ^

I live with it in the LE.
& everyone knows of the "horrors" of an aftermarket sunroof.
It wont have an OEM finish, and may seem out of place. & if i am not mistaken, on the gen 3 camry's the roof line frames were built differently between sunroof and non-sunroof models. Depending on the quality of build rattles may also come about.

but why am I so negative?

my friend has an 'o5 Nissan Altima, and the job they did on his aftermarket sunroof was amazing.
if you must get the roof, dont cheap out, because you want professionals cutting holes in your roof. (:
Best of Luck.

BTW, this thread reminded me of this http://www.autoblog.com/2007/08/21/d...-sun-shine-in/

^ im sure some of you remember it was posted on TN not too long ago. I forget by who.

I had an aftermarket ASC mooroof on my '88 LE (bought the car used it came that way). It slid back into the roof and it also poped up and tilted. It wasn't too bad of an install, but I had problems with the controller. After I had it fixed once for about $160, I didn't bother with it anymore after it broke again.

As with any custom job, the quality of the installation will largely be in the hands of the installer. Get someone good and has good attention to details, and you will have a decent installation. Get someone who slaps it on and you'll regret it.

It's also an expensive job. A decent install will run you well over a grand.

If you don't need the full sliding moonroof, you can get pop-up/tilt only sunroofs for a decent price. Also they are much cheaper and reliable (no motor, no electronics).

I had one on my '85 Accord (bought this car used also, came that way). It wasn't anything fancy, but never had a problem.
