In need of serious help

1999 Toyota Camry LE
On monday morning, my third brake light went out, the usual "check brake lights" light goes on. So i went to autozone and picked up a set of new bulbs, put it in and it was working fine. But the problem is the "check brake lights" light came on again, im like WTF?! So i ask my mom to tell me which lights were out and she said none. Ok, i wanted to check myself and she was right all working fine. Then i checked the parking lights, all working fine. So im confused. As a just in case i bought new taillight bulbs and replaced the ones that were there, still same problem. All brake lights are working properly and so are the parking lights. I thought the cpu might be dumb so i disconnected the battery for a while and thought that cleared up the issue...nope "check brake lights: light still comes on...What should i do?

1993 Toyota Camry LE Wagon
So my cousin recieved this 16 year old wagon, its fine and start up real strong, but he lives in New Hamsphire and failed inspection. We fixed most of the problems but there is one really bad one....heres the picture.

Im guessing this is the rear subframe, what can be done in order to fix this? I was thinking of getting one ( if we're lucky enough ) from a junkyard...
Also, the inspector said that his brake lines had to go to this:

I have no idea what this piece is, and it has a block thing on top of it, my cousin was told by the inspector that it was some load thing for the wagon and cannot pass inspection without that properly working...how can i fix this?

on your 99 camry you might want to check your brake fluid. Sometimes it passes the low line and the light comes on in the dash. At the same time check all your brake lines for leaks since brake fluid rarely goes low without a leak somewhere.

As for your wagon, that sub frame is pretty rusted which is why it failed inspections. Best thing to do is go to junkyard and find replacement. When you do replace it also do the bushings.

for your "light out" problem, check through your associated wiring harnesses to see if there are any grounded wires

for the subframe, I don't see it being a problem to go to a junkyard to pick one up- they should be able to remove one for you

and for what the safety inspector said about the brake thing, it's called a (rear) proportioning valve, it is attached to the suspension components so that it can sense when the rear "lifts" and distribute the braking power accordingly (it's old tech lol)

for 99 camry, the Brake fluid is fine, i'll check the wires for the center light because when my center brake light went out thats when the problem started happening; before it was perfectly fine so so leak, but i'll give it a check although the rears are fine i'll look at the fronts ones tomorrow hopefully

for the wagon, i knew i had to go to the junkyard, so its a rear sub frame correct?

For your brake light, check the loom of wires in the trunk by the driver's side trunk hinge. Open the loom of wires and look for frayed or broken wires. Repair as necessary.

Just another thought. You did replace that high mounted brake light with the correct one, 921 I believe. I have seen people throw in something that "fits" the socket and then can't seem to figure out why the light on the dash doesn't go out.

Definitely go to the wreckers and pull one. Just went through this myself. Mine was a hell of a lot worse than yours was. Entire bottom was gone, starting up the side on one and around the bushings.
Take a good look at them before you pull one so you won't get the same problem happening. Got one in near perfect condition for a mere $50. When you get one, I'd recommend that you clean, and paint it with rubberized undercoating spray to help keep it from rusting out.
Good luck!
