NEED HELP with rear brake job!!

Well I did the fronts yesterday and it went very well. However, I am stuck on the rear pads today. I was able to hinge the caliper up, take out the old pads, insert the new pads, and push the caliper piston back in. However, now I am stuck because even though the caliper fits around the new pads I need more clearance to put back the bottom bolt. I would appreciate any help.

make sure the new pad size matches the old ones. I've had wrong pads given to me in the past.

did you compress the rear caliper piston all of the way before you installed the new pads?

are you pushing in the bottom slide pin (where the caliper bolts to) while putting the caliper back into place? sometimes the slide pin will push itself out a little more when you remove the caliper... preventing you from putting the caliper back into place.

if thats not the case, you can always loosen the top bolt to give yourself some more clearance.

Thanks LE05, that was the problem. It took some force to push it back, but once it did everything went perfect.

That might be an indication that slide pin needs to be relubed.
