I know this one has been beat to death, but I am at work and don't have a ton of time to search. I have a 94 Coupe and I need quick struts. I have 250,000 and want to replace the whole mess with an OE style. I don't want to mess around with spring compressors, new bearing assy, etc... I have been trying to find a set up quick struts at Autozone and a few other places. They are asking me if my current struts are a sealed unit or not. There is a difference between the parts according to them. I know that there was a change for Gen 3.5, but I don't know what? Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what type I have. They are also asking me if I have a touring suspension? I have seen the question on their screen when they look up the parts. Any direction would be appreicated, I have a busted spring and need to fix soon! Thanks!!!

OK, here is a little more information after some research. It looks like I have non-rebuildable struts. I have to replace the entire assy instead of inserting a cartridge. I found the springs, struts, and upper mounts online. I can't find the boots for the rods, mine are shot. It looks like the struts I found at Autozone have the lower bearing/spring seat integrated which saves me from having to buy this seperatly. Any insight on these thoughts, am I on the right track?
Thanks

I got Quick Struts at Pep Boys. Someone else on this forum recently mentioned he got the Quick Struts for his car at RockAuto.com and got a 10% discount by mentioning he is a TN member.
You can always replace with completely sealed strut. Costs a bit more but faster, less mess and easier to find.
Looking at the Monroe eCatalog http://www.monroe.com/catalog/ecatalog.asp
it shows only rear QuickStruts #171958 and 171957. So for the fronts you have to buy the parts ($$).
Rockauto has the rear ones for about $165 each. Ask for TN member discount. O'Reilly has them too but costs more.

Here is what I am going to do, advise if I am going to f@#$#@$ something up here. It looks like I can ditch the old style rebuildable strut and install the newer style, 95-96 style quick strut with the upper bearing. This will eliminate the old style with the lower bearing and I should be able to use the newer style with the upper mount/bearing. I found them at Rock Auto for about $170.00 each. This is good because my springs are worn out. Can anyone confirm that I can do this/ Thanks!

Hmmm, the strut mount is listed only good for 92-94 Camrys. Otherwise they would have used the same for the 95-96???
It's the difference between the gen 3 and 3.5. If you do the 95-6 quickstrut though, you get the whole unit. In reading on TN, the consensus seems to be you can interchange gen 3 and 3.5 parts provided you get the matching strut mount for the respective generation. No mixing between generations. ie. 3.5 mounts go with 3.5 struts etc.
I was asking if he put the 95-6 quickstruts on his 94 because I wanted to know if they fit and the ride height was in spec. The quickstrut obviously would have the appropriate matching parts.
