Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hello all, I'm a new member here , been browsing through the forums lately and I must say, you have a wonderful database of advice (besides some of the older ones missing pictures XD). I actually did a few mods to my own car with the help of this site (namely the D light fix and the CCFL trunk mod).
I'm posting mainly for some help on replacing the radio/CD/cassette modules in my 96 Camry V6 LE with some sort of touchscreen entertainment system. I'm currently not set on replacing the entire thing, but if I can get a decent one for a good price, I'll probably look into it. I saw a few on the Camry Picture Thread, so if anyone posted their mod of a screen in their car, please let me know what brand you used. I saw a Kenwood one running for $700 at Best Buy today, and that's a bit out of my price range.
You get what you pay for. I suggest saving up and getting a reputable brand vs saving money on a cheap ebay brand.
I've got a 6-7 year old Alpine IVA-D900 and it still works like new. My buddy bought a ebay brand last year and the quality is flimsy and the menu is crappy.

Well where do you suggest I get a good quality one? Is the Kenwood one I saw at Best Buy good? The only place I know that does car audio specialties is Mobile-One, but I don't know how much the parts or service there costs.
