00 camry V6 - Spark plug questions

Hi, I need to know what the appropriate gap is for plugs for this car.

Also, if I needed to replace the plugs, which ones would be best to go with?

Lastly, what is the proper torque to tighten to?

How many miles are on the car? I used some mid range priced AutoLites, I wouldn't use them again. If I did it over again, I'd have run the OEM plugs to 150K easily. I have some NGK BKR6ES's in it now.

I just put in some NGKs also in my 01 Avalon. NGK kicks @ss and you don't have to gap them. Denso was the OEM spark plugs but dealership didn't have them in stock, was $13 for each though. NGK were $7 each. I heard Densos were better for stock N/A cars though while NGK were better for turboed cars. Any comment(s) on that? Hondas come with NGK stock.

Hi, I use Denso's from the dealer. Gap is .043 with a torque of 13 ftlb or 18nm. Usually replace them at 90,000 miles. I use an anti-sieze for plugs, available from any parts store, to lightly coat the threads so they will be easier to remove next time.

Yeah, go with NGK Iridium or for a couple of bucks more, the Laser Iridium with platinum ground pad. The latter plug are spec'ed 120K miles on Toyotas.

IMO Denso are cheap plugs. They tend to more stingy on platinum and such. The old NGK plats I pulled looked so much better than Densos after 60K miles. Now I only use NGK Iridiums unless they aren't avaiable.

Had some problems pasting the NGK catalog results, but here in text format. Also check rockauto.com for prices.
