3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
The Camry decided not to start today, at all. I am done with it.
With college coming in 3 mos, there is no room in my budget to fix that car.
I'm thinking about parting it out, I would only have 3mos to do so. Would it be feasible and worth it to do this? Or should I just try to sell it.
If anyone's really interested, its a coupe, and has a good interior, all good glass, all engine parts, new tires, good front fenders and Coupe Doors and Door Panels. Would it be worth it to Part it or should I just sell it as-is? Thanks

the car seems like its in good standing, and the current problem of it not starting seems minor... therefore i'd sell it as is. just try to diagnose the problem if you do not intend to fix it, so people know what they're getting in to before they buy it. what year & model is it?

Does she crank? Or do you just hear clicks when you turn the key?
Have you diagnosed what the problem is first off? I could be actually something fairly simple to fix. I'd find out what the issue is before making a decision.
Worse off if you get rid of it, and end up buying someone else's problems with another car and be worse off than you are now. As the saying goes, better the devil you know than the one you don't. It's why I kept mine and had it fixed instead of taking the money.
i just lost my font end to an suv engine and trans is still good intereor is still good hood driver door and trunk are gone but i would see what it is that needs atention these camrys last for ever if maintained properlly just tell us if the battery is dead or how many volts is it giving and when you turn the key not to start just on listen for the fuel pump turn on, it should also listen for starter relay to switch over. if it cranks then check the fuel fillter the tool for that is avallible any where. also not to discurage you with all this but it could just be and loose or coroded ground always check your battery for gfs {green fuzy shit} and check the main power and ground wires to the alternater and the starter witch engine are we talking cause if it is the 1mzfe v6 i could send y0ou the factory service manuale i love my 1mzfe i am turning it into a twin turbo rear wheel rear engine 1200 lbs tube frame chasy make it 5050wheit ratio after i get out of the army. so let me know what you come up with.
