Pictures of Screen & Wood

I got my AVH-P3100DVD installed the other day and just finished up doing my wood grain effect on some dash parts. I was going for more of a burl wood finish. I included a close up so you can see. It's not a perfect match but it looks good enough for me. Here are some pictures.

sweet. Personally I like the flip LCD instead. That sits too low for me...

The wood trim is nice it does match nicely

I like the flip screens also but with a double din opening, I like to fill it in completely. I think it has more of an OEM look. To each their own though.

Thanks for the wood comments! This is the 2nd car I've done and each one gets better.

I'm planning to do just a few more smaller pieces but I can do a step by step DIY if people will actually use it. You will be surprised at how easy and cheap it is. For everything I did, it cost me less than $10.

Wow, thanks for providing the number for the LCD screen - it's what I've been looking for! How does it perform for you so far?

It works great. I have my phone running through it for mp3's, GPS, internet, etc. Right now I'm working on a way to mount the phone in the car so it's clean and seamless but still have access to the keyboard. I'm not sure how it's going to work yet.

But you are running GPS and internet off the HTC's data correct?

Also when you use the iPod, are you using a simple AUX cable or the iPod cable that Pioneer provides?

I'm using the GPS functionality that's built into the phone. For internet, I'm using my cell phone providers data plan. I do not use an iPod, my phone has it's own MP3 player as well. This unit has it's own USB plug on the front also, I will switching all my music onto a USB dongle and using that method in the near future.
