Problems With Stereo...Again!!!READ ME!!!

Hey Guys,
Well I found out why my stereo was running only when my headlights were on but now I have another issue. I tried to hook my stereo's illumination wire to the ACC wire from the car so that the stereo turns on when my car does. Come to find out that the stereo doesn't turn on. I have changed the radio No. 1 fuse, no avail. I have made sure all the connections were tight, still not working. It seems that the ACC wire from the car to the stereo is not working. Any ideas what I should do?.....I could wire it off another ACC wire from like the clock or something but I would really rather not. Any ideas would be a BIG help!

You could wire it to your power adapter/cigarette lighter positive side if you had to. Just make sure that those are working. That would be my suggestion as both of those turn on when the key is in the ACC position.

Do not wire the ILLUMINATION wire (orange???) or Power Antenna (Blue???) <---- Unless you have a working power antenna.

I have never wired the illumination. Plus if you hook up everything else your radio will only turn on when you turn the key. Your factory harness is already setup that way.

Sounds to me like you just got your wires wrong.
