How much was your camry NEW?

So I was looking through my glovebox and found the papers showing what the previous owner paid for the car.

1998 Camry LE

Retail price $20,218
mudguards $60
Center arm rest $67
"Elite package" wood dash, car mats. $907
Security System $399
Sport package - fog lights, rear spoiler, alloy wheels $1693

some random charge,
some discount,
total: $23,192

Anyone else know what they paid for their car?

The dealership can provide the options, dealer cost and list price of one's car from the Vin#.

IIRC, the coupe was listed at 23,000 (+)(-) back in 96.

I'm not sure how much the gen 3.5 was new, I'm guessing $21-22K. My gen 5.5 was probably around $20K new. Both were bought one year old so that was a nice savings while retaining the remainder of the factory warranty

The receipt I found in my V6 LE says it cost 28000$CAN in 92'.

V6 5speed (3vz-fe+E53)
Alloy wheels
Moonroof

...and what an upgrade the guy got back then, the exchange car(worth 1000$), was a Renault!!!

I mean, I can imagine the scene, what an Epic Win...

-"Honey! I exchanged the french S**tbox for a F**ing Beast!! And it's got a Moonroof!!"

I bought my '95 V6 XLE used a couple of years ago. Didn't have the window sticker, but got the printout from a local dealership.

Sticker:
Base $24398.00
Premium 6 speaker stereo = $240.00
Leather trim package = $1250.00
--------------------------
Total = $25888.00

That sounds like a very good price to me! The '10 cams should be dropping by the dealerships pretty soon, so it sounds to me like the dealer is trying to clear his lot for some new inventory Did you have to haggle much for that price??
