I am stuck as to which HIDs to get. The stock Depos with 6000k had good light output but crappy beam. With the projectors I will get much better light spread so i was thinking of going to 8000k to even the playing field kinda like (Depo + 6000k = Depo (projector) + 8000K)
What is everyones take on this.
btw, I have 2500K fogs (on/off) or the High Beam Scepter mod for 2500k fogs so what would look better? 6000K or 8000K?

a proper projector retro using d2s, d2r...etc with 4300k will provide you with the cleanest and brightest cutoff. Check out hidplanet.com/forums if you want to read more about it. Your third option is brightest though, Depos + Projectors + 4300k (H7). BTW, 4300k will always be brightest when comparing like bulbs, the quality of bulbs does matter so going oem on them would be the best (that is if you want to do a complete retro).
To let you know, the higher the Kelvin temp the lower the light output. So to get the brightest light output you are going to want to stay between 4300K and 6000K. Anything over that and you will loose useable light. So I would stay away from the 8000K and up. I have 6000k in OEM lights and the light output is better than stock, but in Depos with projectors you will have better lighting. Also you are going to want to stay away from H7 projectors. They suck. Look on Ebay or something for TSX projectors or Valeo projectors or Infiniti FX projectors. They are cheap and will be far better than the H7's. That way you will be running D2S or D1R or D1S bulbs. Thats the way to go.

Depends on the manufacturer and how good they make the bulbs. Mine are OEM Philips bulbs. No OEM makes anything else besides the D** style bulbs (D1S, D2S, D2R, etc.). But I think H7 projectors are pretty similar to D2S and you can get a small ring adapter to get a D2S bulb to fit inside an H7. At least that's what the Audi guys did with Valeo projectors back in the day. The regular halogen H7 projectors were perfectly suitable for HID as long as you got an adapter to put a D2S bulb in there.

i have 6K...and its perfectly fine, output is awesome, but i wanted a slightly bluer color then the 4300s gave. but since the choice between the temps is the same price...then its up to you...but i would go higher then 6K.
as far as the lights themselves. D2 are brighter...but i selected the lights youve ordered because i dont have time, resources, or patiance to screw with a retrofit that could have very well come out botched. not that you or anyone else cant do it right. but for the price and the ouput of even the H7s compared to a D2 retro...it was an easy decision for me.

Yea i have to agree. I don't have the time or patience to do a retrofit.
Good stuff. Thanks everyone

i have retrofitted the LS430 projectors, with D2S bulb at 4300k, and denso D2s ballast, it give decent width and a lot of light on the road, feel very comfortable driving at night, even better in pitch black highway and country roads.
