1995 V-6 Interior Question

Does anyone know if the center console on the 95 wagon was the same across all models--e.g., V-6 vs. 4cyl?

I'm trying to purchase a replacement arm rest, but the photos I've been sent (allegedly from a wagon), don't match the arm rest in my car, which is a V6.

Thanks for any esoteric answers.

as far as i know, toyota made two different kinds of center arm rests. one is a plastic hard shell flap while the other is a raised cushioned one. both clip right on to the stock assembly.

double check tho.

you are correct...at least about the pad. ther only diffrances between consols however are considerable, one was made for a foot brake and the other for a hand brake. but they will all just bolt right in place.

Center console for the hand brake models is smaller than the center console for the foot brake models. So, when you're shopping for a lid, you need to make sure you get the right size whether it's the regular lid or the thick padded lid.

It must be the handbrake-footbrake issue. I have an automatic with a footbrake and a longer arm rest. I didn't know there was a handbrake model--was that for a manual transmission? (not available on the V-6 at the time).

I'm sure there is a pattern to it but I've seen both manuals and autos with the handbrake. I think its safe to say the manuals never came with the footbrake.

both the footbrake and handbrake models were available with or without the raised cushions.

I think the foot brake with the larger console may have just been on the V6 LEs and V6 XLEs with auto trans, and everything else came with the hand brake and smaller console. Could be wrong, but based on all the Gen 3s I've seen thats' my best guess.
