3rd Generation Factory Alarm Swap?

I was wondering if there was any way that i could get the alarm and keyless entry out of my mom's 2005 camry and into my 95 xle? i lost the remote to my alarm system

she has an aftermarket alarm and her old one both installed and still working..so she has no need for the factory system.

The box is under the driver seat usually. You could try to put it in your car and see if it works.

I doubt it.. If I'm not mistaken, even the factory keyless entry (w/o alarm) is connected to the ECU. You're better off just getting a replacement remote to your own alarm system.

yeah, the factory alarm in her 05 isnt under the seat so i guess it is part of the ecu. oh well. it just sucks that a factory replacement remote from a dealership is like 80 bucks.

thanks alot for the replies. if there is any other input on maybe how i could get her alarm and keyless entry installed by a professional, thatd be of help too, if you can even take it out of her car.

to the OP, if you know what a multimeter is and how to use it, send me a PM. I can help with an aftermarket install.
