Canada Help!!! Dual Exhaust For 00 Camry

Hey Guys,

So i want to upgrade my exhaust and get rid of my muffler on my 00 Camry LE 4 CYL. What I'm looking to do is getting a dual exhaust set up in the back, basically an exhaust on each side at the back of my car.

I want to know what exactly I need, and what kind of exhaust I should get. What will make my car sound better and also perfom better? What's the best stuff out there? I already have an Intake so ya....Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Performance wise it really won't do anything. Remember our econo-boxes are just that. They are really just for sound and or looks from this point forward.

Go to your local muffler shop get a quote on what duals will cost. Do you want two fart cannons out the back? Two mustang style tips coming out the back or dual Flowmaster 40s?

Honestly I just put on an IS300 muffler on my V6 and I love the way it sounds. There are no drones, no ricey-ness. It looks great and sounds fantastic at upper RPM.

There are no bolt-ons for duals for your car.

Go to an exhaust shop, get an estimate, go from here.

megamac83 has the BEST lookin dual setup on his. its a tricky task because of the spair tire well on the drivers side. so your options are either what he did which was to install small canaster like(doesnt have 4" tip) mufflers and have the shop mold the tire well a little to get it all to fit or install a muffler before the Y-pipe and then jsut run piping straight to the back.

you will see NO performance gains with jsut a muffler, and little more witha full exhaust.

Here's the muffler installed. I painted the body flat black and polished the tip.

It's dirty I know, it's been raining like a mofo here for the past few days. Sorry no vids, it's got a misfire and sounds like ass at idle.

Our muffler is about 6 inches longer than the IS300. I welded on a piece 2.5" pipe onto ours and into the IS300 muffler. Also we have 1 supported mount for our muffler at the back where as the Lexus has 2. Ours is in the center, the Lexus is on the outside of the rear. I welded a small bar hanger from left to right and stuck it through the OE hanger.

Hope this helps.

My badges will be coming off next. I don't like the way they look.

I think he means that they make a custom Y-pipe and intermediate pipe for your car.
