Its pitching a bit too much on the ground and the right side had some leds short out so I'll redo it eventually but what are some opinions for now?

Try finding ones that you can aim. Also, for LED lights, you may want to add a resistor just to make sure they don't burn out prematurely

I bought these leds off ebay, 100 for 8 dollars shipped.

They are wired in parallel each having a 470 ohm resistor I believe

I just took out the plastic plate, drilled the holes and put in the leds, they are pretty secure, you can see in this picture the left side came out way better than the right side, which I plan to redo when I order more.

This is an example of another led project I did which has 15 cyan leds in the door light

haha. get SMTs next time so they wont point downward

Nice!!! Yeah I think SMT's will cancel out the pointing downward problem.
