i cant seem to disconect the center counsol....like anything i pulled out 2 10mm bolts ok then i started breaking plastic...nothing visable whats the trick im trying to get in the shifter area

with a flat screwdriver, pop off the lid around the shifter, then you'll have 2 phillips screws, remove these two and you should be able to remove the armrest part... then for the cup holder and ashtray and shifter, there should be screws hiding in the foot well each side behind the lower kick panels...

I'm going from memory, sry i don't have pics...

it comes out with the entire piece but the ashtray u might need to remove

The cup holder in my 96 Camry just sort of pops out with force. Other than that you have the screws under the shifter cover. It's quite easy to remove actually.
