hey guys, some of you may know me from my 5sfte project over on 6gc, for those who do not, my name is manny, i've had this ongoing 5sfte project since june of 05 that i have been slowly refining and improving where i can.
finally made it back to the dyno a couple weeks ago, after doing a bunch of upgrades over the last time i dynoed @ 235whp 276ftlbs back in '06
set it up, and let her rip.
just to sum up the changes since the last dyno, we've added:
webcams "294" grind
fidanza LW flywheel
2.5"intercooler piping
26X12X3 intercooler
devils own water injection
and the emanage ultimate.
once i got things going, i set up the map clamp on the emanage ultimate, i cranked up the boost alittle and this is what it gave us.
once again, we used a 50/50 mix of 93 pump and 110 sunoco race fuel.
Very nice work Manny. I'm sure that thing is a tourqe monster. I'm sure you will be in the 350-370 range In no time. In the process of a "copy cat" build as well, except bullet proof bottom end bigger turbo and more aggrsive cams.
Thanks for being a pioneer!
red, i would definetly suggest the more agressive cams.
the mild webcams are nice, they definetly hold the power out longer, but the only reason i went with them is cause i got them cheap used.
had i bought new, i would have called webcams, and talked about a turbo specific setup, or gotten the set from coltcams that i had talked to them about, which actually sounded REALLY interesting cause geoff talked about doing a "staggered" setup for the turbo, to help keep overlap to a minimum, while still getting quite a bit more lift than stock, all while keeping low end losses to a minimum.

Manny, my agressive cams now are a staggered setup 272in 264ex MrT on Mr2oc seemed to like it alot. I believe Mike Colen had 272 both ways in his 5s.
You've probably been asked this numerous times before over on the other forum, but why did you choose to turbo the 5S instead of dropping the 3S-GTE in and working with that?
Great car by the way
