sounds like mine... it started back in 2001-2002 when i turn on the A/C i can hear weird noises periodically.. i had it checked out but everything was fine.. it blows cold within few seconds but it just doesnt sound right to me. its 2009 and still makes the damn noise once in a while.

your compressor cluth worn.... if you want to try put some compressor oil to lubiracate...I would try that first to see the the problem noise goes away... if you don't know where to put little compressor oil, bring to certified AC technician..ask them...if that not fixed your problem squezing noise, then replace the entire compressor. the cluth is insider your compressor.
