You mean heat insulation? There's this material called heat wrap, which I imagine can be found at the average hardware store, but seeing that you're in Saudi Arabia, I have no idea where you might obtain heat wrap.

It might not make much of a difference though, as engine bay temperatures usually exceed 110F under normal use

thanks for the input man, i have those heat wraps the kind that go on headers, but the thing is i'm not aiming to insulae the intake pipe, i want something similer to what come with K&N cold intakes, you know, to insulate the filter so that it sucks in cold air only

and about that 110F engine bay temp, that goes for american specs camrys (like mine), you should see the gulf specs camry, the fans are programmed to work at a much lower temperature, as a result the coolant heat gauge only goes up to the first quarter, and you can actually feel a big difference when u open the hood!!!

I remember a thread a while back where someone test whether heat wraps did next to nothing when it came to changing the intake temps, with data and tables in spreadsheet, over some period of time. The best thing would be to box off the filter or make/get a CAI if you don't like the idea of it gulping hot air.

Although the most you'd notice is greater throttle response.

1. build a CAI. that will cool the charge the MOST and is easy.

2. here at least we can get a heat barrier wrap thats used to insulate water tubing. its a thin layer of foil with a layer of rubber/foam material and is applied like a tape, the rubber builds a barrier between the intake tube and the engine bay. the foil gives it rigidity and protection from the rubber drying out.
