4th Generation leaking oil

i looked around and it seems like its coming from the oil pressure switch. there seems to be oil dripping from there and when i took it out it was wet. http://frugalmechanic.com/auto-part/...tch-with-light

is that the right part? and whats the "with light" about?

i could not find the part online anywhere. can anyone help me on where to buy this part? amazon sells it for cheap but im not sure if thats the right part.

Where is it leaking from? O-ring? Connector? Is your PCV system working? Just make sure it's not your crankcase doesn't have vacuum.

Well, rockauto.com has them 20-27. Don't know what light? Don't they all (Oil Low light on dash)?? Check connector style I suppose.

i also found this
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...061&questions=[]

if its available at autozone i might as well go there.

i THINK its at the connector. i brought it to a shop and he took a quick look at it and told me it was the switch. and i asked him thats all i had to do? he said yup and said it was simple to do so i dont have to bring it to him and charge some silly price for twisting off a screw.

Oil pressure switches require a special socket. (Notice the grooves around the hex in the picture.) A regular socket won't work. If you are going to Autozone they will probably loan you the socket. Be sure to ask for it.

22mm box end wrench or O2 wrench/socket will do.

Whats wrong with a regular adjustable wrench? I used it to switch it out and it worked flawlessly. It was easy as well the oem switch had so many grooves i didnt have to stretch so far to keep turning it. I changed it out for a duralast and that had the traditional sides of a hexagon. No problem whatsoever changing it.

Interesting. Hopefully it stopped your leak.
