Should I shave the last emblem off?

I shaved the rear end of my Camry and here's how it looks now:

Should I take off the emblem in the middle or leave it?
Also, as you can see, there are holes where the CAMRY used to be, is there a way to fix that? I suppose bondo and repaint? Or just repainting it? How do I go about doing this?

That last emblem has 3 pretty good sized holes that it's pegged into, so if you take it off you'll have to fill, sand and paint. So, depends on how much effort/cost you want to put into it, and how confident you are that you can get the trunk lid color matched if you paint it.

I decided to leave all my pegged emblems on because I didn't want to pay to have the panels filled, sanded and painted, and I wasn't confident that I could do it myself and be satisfied with the results. If I ever decide to do it, I'll take it to my body shop.

Well, I can only give you my opinion. For me, that wouldn't cut it. I'd either want the letters installed, or I'd want it completely filled, sanded and painted. If the letters were gone, I wouldn't want any evidence that they had ever been there.

Here a smoothed center panel with only the sombararo.....but yeah there are 3 large holes under it if you remove it!

I paid 60 bucks to have it smoothed and painted!

Is there a way for me to do this myself? I have OEM paint for this car, so I'm just confused as to the process. Would I repair this just like I would for a regular scratch? I'm not even sure what the chrome-ish studs are made of but if I just sanded the area and painted over it, would it not be seen?

no you would need to fill the holes, sand the area down and then paint... IMO too much work for such a small cosmetic mod.. If anything, remove the emblems, black them out and put them back on

the thing is that i don't have the emblems, they weren't on when i bought the car..
would it look tacky if i painted the entire section of the trunk? like the rectangle where the C A M R Y used to be

Paint it a charcoal metalic like the 02-09's have.
Also in the Gen 3's I personally think the car looks better with the letters and logo. I cant tell ya why. They just do.
Now the Gen 4 & 5 look better without the letters. In FACT the Gen 4 looks better without ANYTHING. ANd the gen 5 looks best with just the logo. Again, just my opinion.
