Engine skip and replacing the door lock

Im new here and have looked over and over, but I need help!!! I replaced the front passenger door on my '93 camry. When I bought the car the front fender and the door were damaged and catching on each other, problem solved by replacing them. Before starting to take the lock and assembly apart I thought I would ask any suggestions from some one who has already done this. I just need to replace the lock it self from the old door to the new one.

Secondary, Ive already done a complete tune up on my baby aside from flushing the tranny, which I hope to convert to a manual in the near future(when money grows on trees!) But when we replaced the coil pack it started shooting off these hellacious sparks on the outside of the wire to the strut tower. I took it off, put electrical tape on the pillar and replaced the wire but nothing has changed. When i drive it and its raining, my rpms drop and it starts sputtering and has cut off a couple times at stops. Im pretty sure that the sputtering and cutting off problem is coming form the coil pack or the wire. But once again this is my baby and I want to take as much care of her as I can WITH OUT messing her up. My first camry was an '86 and kept running for a while with a major crack in the block, it was the only car I had and fell in love with it, now with the '93, Im taking all the care of this one that I can.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Oh yeah we also hooked up a 600watt class D amp, 2 12's with a cap, and a new cd player. Didnt know if that would have any affect on the sputtering and shutting off.

Thanks again.
