awesome DIY thanks Camricer... this will come in handy when I decide to replace both the passenger and driver-side regulators as they are both worn out to the point where (mainly the passenger-side window) makes this God-awful screech thats worse than nails on a chalk board.

So how do you roll the window down if your motor is broken?
I thought mine was at first and when I tried to see if I could take the OEM one out, that was the problem I ran into, getting to the where it bolts to the window itself.
But then it magically started working again, so I don't have to change it yet...

i got mine off ebay too. its been nearly 3 years now since the replacement is in... no problems
just recetly a buddy of mine needed to change the regulator on a 2000 impala.. the place he took it to said parts and labor will be $520
went of ebay and bought him the regulator for 45.99 free ship and got me free wipers and stuff

U take out the black frame cover. Then get ur hands underneed and grap the motor, pull it down ...
Good job with this posting. I used it to replace my driver side regulator. Without breaking the lock trim . see the image for the exact placement of notches this help you remove the trim. This is the only tricky part.
