Australia Question

Hi all,
I was wondering if someone could help me with the following questions.
At the moment I have a 1993 Wide Body Camry Manual 5FSE Motor. About 350,000kms.

I was looking around on eBay last night and came across a 1995 Camry Vienta V6 (3FSE?) Automatic. About 180,000kms.
The problem with this Camry is it seems to have had the front guards bashed in a bit (maybe a pissed off partner? I am waiting to hear back off the seller).

Now for the questions:
1) Could I transfer the front guards (and other parts) between these two Camry's?

Is it possible (also approx how much) to:
1) Swap engines over?
2) Convert the V6 to a Manual?

Oh I am in Australia if this would make a difference.

Thanks in advance.

yes you can. the front end will have to be totally swapped(bumper, grille and headlights). the motor will swap but you cant match up the V6 with the 4cyl tranny it wont handle the TQ.

its a 3vz-fe in there too.

Hey mate,

Yeh, transmission wouldn't be a goer, you'll need to source the E53 Manual transmissions for the 3VZs... Can be quite a costly exercise. May I suggest that if you want a Manual in the Cam, you'll want to be looking for a Manual.

The only time I've seen an Auto-Manual swap done was on a Gen 4 Camry in Brissy that had so much work done to it... normally it's cheaper to sell one car and buy a Manual version of the same thing (if you can ever find one).

^^^^ That would be me, and even then I think it would have been cheaper and easier to swap everything from my car a manual one instead of swapping it to a manual.

However, 5sp is a LOT better than auto.
