Australia 1996 Camry Keyless Entry Program & Clock Help!!

Hi all, I am a newbie! I would like some advice and help.
I have a Camry CSI 1996 sedan.

1. Keyless Entry - The keyless entry sensor has died. It can be set by inserting the new clicker in a compartment in the glove box. Toyota will charge over $40 to do it, it takes all of 5 minutes!
Does anyone have any ideas how to set the clicker? It is oval shaped with one oval button.
2. Clock/ Radio - Any infor on how to set the clock would be greatly appreciated.
I've been late for work all week!
I just love this car, it is not thirsty, unlike me!!
Thanks to all in advance for your help, regards Jean

I'll let you know now, it's quite straight forward.

Not sure if the Americans have the same programming as us Aussies... I know that if you check either:

www.auscam.org

or

au.toyotaownersclub.com

They'll definitely have the info...

Did you try Auscam? I'll quote a post from the site:

Quote:
Remote Control Programming

Replacement remote controls are blank and must be programmed to the system.

Insert and valid programmed remote control (ie. the working one) into the reader located in the glovebox. The vehicle security indicator (located on the tacho/speedo) will illuminate continuously for 5 seconds, during this time do the following:

* Remove valid remote control from reader
* Insert new blank remote control into reader
* Remove newly programmed remote control from reader

Test the newly programmed remote control by arming and disarming the system. If it does not work, arm and disarm the system with the original remote control and try programming the new remote control again.

Programmable Options:

Alarm Chirp
When Alarm Chirp is enabled, the vehicle horn will chirp on arming and disarming the system. To enable, insert the remote control into the reader located in the glovebox, confirm that the vehicle security indicator (on the speedo/tacho) has illuminated continuously and operate the vehicle's horn within 5 seconds of the indicator illuminating. Use the same procedure for disabling Alarm Chirp.

Two-Stage Unlock
With Two-Stage Unlock enabled, the first activation of the remote control unlocks the driver's door only. A second activation of the remote control then unlocks all the other doors unless the ignition switch has been operated or the doors are unlocked, in which case the second activation of the remote control will re-lock all the doors. To enable two-stage unlock, insert the remote control into the reader located in the glovebox, confirm that the vehicle security indicator (on the speedo/tacho) has illuminated continuously and operate the power door lock switch (next to the handbrake) to the unlock position within 5 seconds of the indicator illuminating. Use the same procedure for disabling Two-Stage Unlock.

Panic Mode
Panic Mode enables the vehicle alarm to be activated intentionally using the remote control in case of an emergency. With Panic Mode enabled, it may be activated by pressing the remote control button continuously for more than 3 seconds. To enable, insert the remote control into the reader located in the glovebox, confirm that the vehicle security indicator (on the speedo/tacho) has illuminated continuously and operate the vehicle's horn TWICE within 5 seconds of the indicator illuminating. Use the same procedure for disabling Panic Mode.
Someone from our forum copied this from the Gen 3 manual. Not sure if this can be used in America or not, but works for the Aussie ones

Good luck
