3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
i was going to go boost but i think i rather build my motor n make it all motor what parts can i use to make my camry fasteer. i need to know everything possible i want over 230hp
V6, Moderate nitrous or TRD S/C, full intake and exhaust.
4cyl - Spend alot more money and go turbo, tuning, intake exhaust. IMO, it's not worth it.
These are bare minimums, there will be more adaptation like all tune-up components, injectors, fuel pump, AT to MT swap. If you really want a fast street car go get something with a V8 and enjoy the civility of your Camry. There is nothing wrong with making what you have now a bit faster, handle better and make it more enjoyable and fun to drive, but it's going to be by no means a track car or run with anything that has a GT or SS badge on it.

Use the search function and you will find more info.
its a 4cyl IIRC from his first post. and id be willing to bet yull find nothing by doin a search on this topic. so...youd have to spend SO much money to get a 5sfe to 230 without boost that most would laugh, not at the car, but the $/hp you spent. there are guys who have spend ALOT on their turbo setups and not even reached that number on the 5s.
boost or V6 is the only way to get there man...sorry.
If you want to build an n/a 5sfe this link at the mr2 forums is your guide: http://www.mr2oc.com/showthread.php?t=308405. So much good information in there. You will need an account to view it.
In that guide they refer to 294 grind webcam camshafts, well here is the link to their website, http://www.webcamshafts.com/. Go under product search and you'll find about 3 or 4 different sets of camshafts for the 5sfe. The 294 grind cams are mild enough to not require tuning while they are priced at $698.
Here's another link to a guide about making 200whp out of a n/a 5sfe, http://warp.scl.utah.edu/mr2/200rwhp5sfe.html. So read that stuff cause it will answer all your questions and more.

I don't know if the OP is even close to serious (probably not) but if he is I hope he knows that making that amount of power on an Mr2 is not nearly as difficult...
