Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hi,
I'm a new member here and I'm still finding my way around.
Can anyone direct me to a list of OEM (Gen 4) Camry wheels?
Does such a list even exist? And, if not here then maybe somewhre else?
I'm hoping to find photos, specs, and possibly even wheel weights.

i think we need more info... ie: year of your gen 4 and engine size...
but go to rockauto.com... it takes 2 seconds to find your specific car. once you click the engine size, go down to Wheel/Tire

Those were put on the cars aftermarket by theyre owners.
All rims affixed to the camry we're made by Toyota, TRD is as sporty as OEM gets.

i don't think this was a WTB thread originally. He's just looking to see what his options are so he knows what he can choose from. Kinda like this list on miata.net: http://www.miata.net/faq/wheel_weights.html
basically, a list of weights and pictures of all the factory wheels that were ever available.

Check the junkyards in your area. That would be the cheapest route. rockauto would probably be pretty expensive and if you want to go that route, then simply go out and buy your own custom wheels for the same price. To what I know, the I4 has 14 inch wheels, the OEM rims come in 15 inch, so unless you get the same overall diameter of tire, you'll probably have to recalibrate your speed sensors...

Thats not entirely the case. Many Enkie rims were in fact dealer options. While not from the "factory", they were "Port Install" options, mainly in FL, Cali, and the gulf states. The Enkie wheels are actually on the window stickers as optional equipment. If you go to FL or TX, a high percentage of Toyota's have Enkie wheels, since the dealer makes $ off them.

Hey, thanks for the replies. Let me clear up a few things:
Yes, I'm looking to eventually buy a set of alloy wheels HOWEVER,
I would like to know what I'm buying (or even looking for) before I
make a decision and bring home some wheels that are crap.
This is exactly what I had in mind! I've actually found this site by
accident and was hoping there was a similar resource for Camrys.
As far as the Enkie wheels, I'm seeing the same style (14 or 15 inch wheels)
and it's making me think that they were factory options.
I'm not referring to multi-lug, or 17 or 18 inch wheels or anything else
obviously aftermarket. The wheels I've seen look very stock although
have a small Enkei logo on the center caps.
Anyway, what's important to me is keeping it Gen 4 OEM and going
as lightweight as possible.
Well, thanks again. I do appreciate the help. I will continue
to keep an eye open in junkyards and for 'parts cars' on craigslist.
Although if anyone can direct me to a list of wheel specs and weights
I would very much appreciate it!
i don't know of such a page for camrys; if i did, i would have linked you to it. however, there is a monster sized thread with pictures of peoples' cars in this very forum. i bet there's some stock vehicles in there you can take a look at.
yes, GST (which includes TX, OK, LA, AR, MS, AL and FL) does tend to put on a lot of "port" wheels. Many of them are a 15" copy of the factory 16" wheel on the same model, or 14" copy of the 15, and so on. some look pretty good and some not so much, but most are Enkei. They are made to spec since the order in volume so they fit like a factory wheel - hub bore matches and there's only one set of lug holes. Many of the port wheels have a capital letter T inside an oval, or the word TOYOTA on the center caps, whereas all factory rims will have the real oval "sombrero" logo on the centercaps. Occasionally you'll see the enkei figure 8 logo, and sometimes you'll even see real BBS rims (with BBS centercaps). In fact, BBSs were a factory option on gen5 SEs i think, and they look really good on almost anything.
just one of the things i picked up on while i worked at a toyota dealership for about 6-7 years.
Just the other day though, i saw a set of the gen3 v6 XLE wheels (15" split-spoke) on a gen5 camry, and it actually looked pretty good. Don't discount other generation's wheels - anything from gen3-4 will be a direct bolt-on to your gen4, and many gen5/6 wheels will fit too - the hub bore and bolt pattern is the same. gen1/2 wheels won't fit because the bolt pattern is smaller than gen3+. If you're worried about resale value down the road... honestly - how is a potential buyer going to know they aren't the rims that actually came on the car from the factory unless he's a camry enthusiast like us? and if he is, he'll probably appreciate it rather than try to get a discount from you! your average buyer probably won't know factory rims from some crap you can buy at any tire store except if you put on some huge chrome rims.

one more thing - factory alloys, 99% of the time, use a flat-seat lugnut. the holes in the wheel have no taper - they are just straight flat holes, and the lugnut always has a washer on it, like this: link if image doesn't work
port wheels (and steel wheels), 99% of the time, have a taper seat lugnut. the hole in the wheel kinda looks like a funnel, and the lugnut is JUST a nut - no washer. like this: link if image doesn't work
