3rd Generation dash cluster lightbulb change?

I just installed new bulbs in my dash cluster (speedometer, fuel guage, etc.) on my 1995 V6 XLE. Once i got everything back together and started the car to see if it all worked, the airbag light came on.

What is the possible cause of this? I didn't touch the steering wheel or anything. I just took out the cluster and exchanged the bulbs with blue incandescent bulbs. I'll post pictures once I get this airbag light to go off.

Thanks in advance for your input on what to do.

did you disconnect your battery before doing the bulb changes?

give it some time to go off, if not check the fuse.

No, I didn't disconnect the battery. That completely slipped my mind when I got started.

So it should eventually just go off after awhile? I was going to just open it back up tonight and take the bulb out. But if it will eventually go off, then I won't bother it for now.

And, also, where is the fuse for the airbag located? I will check it tonight.

Thanks for the reply.

the fuses are located in the dash below and to the left of your steering column. you know that little tray that you can pull out? on each side theres two plastic pieces you can pop in and wiggle the tray out with force. the diagram of the fuses is on the tray you pop out.

I always wondered what blue incandescent bulbs look like in the dash. Can't wait to see the pictures.
I installed red incandescent in mine and hate them. They get mixed in with the red tail lights in front of me and its a little uncomfortable.
I put in a blue 4mm neo wedge LED into the gear cluster illumination bulb and it looks cool. Surprisingly it has a nice solid brightness across that cluster. I always thought it would be bright at the top and dim at the bottom. I'm not sure what I want to do about the ugly reds.
