3SFE in place of 5SFE
My brother in law blew up his 93. Knocked an inspection hole in the 5sFE, and ate 2nd gear out of the automatic.
He bought a JDM 3SFE to put in it. I called the guy who sold it to him who insisted you only have to drill one extra hole in the rear engine mount and it'll fit right up.
He also got a replacement automatic, out of a 94. No biggie there I'm sure.
Anyone have any thoughts of things to look out for? I'll be tackling this in the next few days...
Oh yeah, and should I transfer the coolant-oil interchange (the oil cooler thingy) from his engine to the 3S or can I take it for mine? lol
