Camry throwing code 55

Hey everyone Im having a problem with my 1995 Camry. My v6 is throwing code 55 knock sensor circuit. My check engine light doesn't automaticlly come on, but after a bit of driving it does. The real problem is I cant take my car threw emission test (aircare) to insure it, when the check engine light is on. I hooked it up to the ODB reader and it said unplug EFI fuse for 30 seconds to reset code. After taking it around the block the check engine light came on. I also tried resetting the ECU by disconnecting the ground for 5 mins but this did nothing as well. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Um, there is no way you have a '95 Camry V6, or there is no code 55. The '95 V6 Camry was OBD2 and has a 5 digit code. P****.
