2001 Camry Rear Window Stuck

Hello all!

I've got a '01 Camry with a bit of an annoying problem. I can roll down my rear window no problem though when it comes back up it gets stuck about 3" or so from the top. If I wait a while, and repeatedly press the button to get it to go up it budges up a little bit. Most times I have to press the button and apply a bit of force on the window to get it to close. It seems to go down smoothly, and rises steadily up until this point. Could it be something inside the door blocking the window or do you think the motor could be dying on me?

Sounds like the window regulator. Power windows are so expensive to repair

^^ sounds about right to me. The window regulator is one of the most common failures on Camry's, I had 2 fail on my car. Replacement isn't as expensive as it is a pain in the rear end... Look up the regulator on ebay, and here is a DIY, should be roughly similar for your car: DIY Replace Window Regulator - Camry 92-96 & Equivalent Models

^ Thanks for the link. The regulator on my mom's gen 3.5 is starting to make noises when you put the window down. I'll keep an eye on it and replace it if need be. Maybe with the help of my cousin since he's got half a garage full of tools

Thanks for the input! I guess I'll look into replacing the regulator then. I've taken apart the front driver's door before to replace the door handle before and that was a pain. But other than removing the interior handle, this doesn't look too bad. Again thanks for the help!
