Help with code PO300 on 00 camry

Hey guys I just recently got a check engine light code PO 300. When my car is at a stop sign it hiesiate to pick up when I acclerate. I really don't know where to start. Any suggestion or help I would appercated.

That's a random cylinder missfire code. Change the spark plugs if they have more than 60,000 miles on them and change the saprk plug wires, especially if they are the original wires and you have substantial mileage on the car. Get the plug wires at the dealer; don't buy a cheap aftermarket set or you will be replacing them again in about a year. You can get the plugs at any auto parts store. Just be sure to use the proper NGK or Denso plugs that are specified in your owner's manual. That usually eliminates the missfire problem.

It means there is excessive fuel being unburned going through the exhaust that the downstream o2 sensor is metering and is causing damage to the catalytic converter. I'd do a tune up ASAP before I drive the car again. The cat will eventually get clogged and the car will be un-drivable. Then you may have to replace the cat which can be expensive.
