Two center AC vents not putting out much air.

Hi,

The two center dash AC (and heater) vents on my 97 Camry are not putting out much air, just a little puff. The far right and left vents put out tons, as do the floor and defroster vents. Does not matter what position the direction control (head, feet, or defrost) is in, there is always just a little puff of air coming out.

Looking in my Hayes book, getting to this area is not fun. Fortunately, the system works, just not much air from the center. However, I would like to fix it if it was an easy job.

Any ideas?

Have you fixed this problem? My girls car does the same thing...

I have not, although my right hand wishes it was on a cold morning. If anyone else has some more insight, I would be all for it.

Unless it is easy, I will not bother. I'll just get a new FT-86 and call it a day
