Strait piping 4cyl camry

Hi, i recently strait piped my 4cyl camry (removing the muffler). There seems to be better acceleration and it sounds amazing but i was wondering if the engines back pressure is effected by this. Thanks for any help...

No, there should be no issues with back pressure with a straight pipe. The CEL light should pop on unless you installed an eliminator.

by "(removing the muffler)" im assuming the rest of the exhaust is stock. so eliminators have nothing to do with it, and there will be no engine codes period.

it WILL effect back pressure, but that changes every time you change any part of the exhaust. but if you ONLY have teh muffler removed then your really not changing a very restrictive part of the exhaust. so the reduction in back pressure wont be enough to care about. now if you add headers, or go with a larger exhaust, or remove the cat then yes, youll loose a substantial back pressure but youll gain the power back a little on the top end.
