Rear bumper Damaged 99 Camry

Hi
Guys,
I am in Columbus, Ohio. My rear bumper is damaged. Folks are giving me $350 to $700 estimates. Please need some cheaper option. I can do it at home? Where would I get the bumper? Its beige color.
Thanks in advance

Well a picture speaks 1000 words, take a pic of the damage and post it. Depending on the amount of damage to the bumper, the 350$ to 700$ might be justified...

If you want to do it yourself for the cheapest option, it can be as easy if it's just dented in with no rip, just take the bumper off and push it back out.
If its torn then it becomes more complicated and if you want it to look as if you never had the damage then it gets even more difficult for the less experienced.

Pictures will help us to help you.

From that angle, it looks like the bumper is ripped, which would justify a new bumper cover+ paint job on it...

The bumper is held in place mostly by plastic clips. Ask mechanically inclined friends to pop them off. Shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes on first try.

There are cracks in your current bumper cover. It may make sense to get a new one and paint it, if you don't want to push the dents out and "glue" up the cracks that might later show up again. Go to EBay. Search "99 Camry bumper cover". I see one $79.99 w/ shipping. A painted one (may not be exact color match) is about $140-150 on EBay. Look for painted or paint for you.

You can also check with a few local body shops. Ask if you bring in the bumper to paint how much would that cost. They can usually color match better, but more $$ I suspect.

The styrofoam bumper absorber is probably squeezed, you can consider replacing that for only another $8.90.

So total cost to fix, probably about $160-170 plus tax/shipping if no damage to metal bumper/body etc etc.

Most likely you do need a new bumper. But before you do anything at least take it off( pretty easy and straightforward) and try popping the dented part out. It might not work but if it does work out youll save alotta $$$
