Cooling Fans will not turn on.

My 2001 Camry over heated today and I noticed both cooling fans were not running, but they will move if I spin them. Does anyone now were I can download a free wiring diagram and where the fuse is for these? The owner's manual does not show which fuse is for the fans.

Thank you,
Bill

or the relay itself, or the actual- it can be a large number of things

check the fuse first, then the motor, and then the relays

You need to check the fan motors by using 12V from the battery. Spinning them won't check the electricals, but at least the bearings may be OK.

I'd recommend having an electrically inclined friend help out, if you don't want to take it to a $$ mechanic for now.

LIke others said, besides checking to make sure the fan motors run, also the coolant switch and relay/fuses. See Autozone's free repair guide with registration.
