difficulty starting 98 Camry

I have difficulty starting my 98 Camry (4 cyl) in the mornings or when I haven't driven the car for a few hours. When I turn the key on the ignition, it clicks a few times and sounds like the battery is dead. If I continue to turn the ignition, it will eventually start up fine. The car drives normally and doesn't have any trouble starting unless it hasn't been driven in a few hours. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I was getting ready to change out the spark plugs before this started. Could this be a sign of worn spark plugs or is there another possible cause?

Sounds like your starter solenoid contacts are worn out. It's a cheap and easy fix, I know there is a DIY somewhere.
