Exhaust Sugguestions?

Hey guys,

I'm new to the Camry scene but I am looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 1994 1mz-fe. It's pretty corroded and time for something new. My initial thoughts were to upgrade to 3" piping from the cat back and add an Apexi N1 muffler. My questions are:

What size pipes, catalytic converter and muffler have you guys had good experiences with?

Should I keep the resonator?

Also, the 3" Apexi says that it is for turbo cars only. What would this mean for a N/A car?

welcome to TM man.

first a good search will yeild some good results. but since ya already posted...

if your staying NA then id jsut stick with 2.5 at the most. 3" wont yeild any benifits and only cost more. if ya want to make the most differance on it then id suggest changing out the Y-pipe either buying one or having it made. as far as cat....again, 2.5.

Bro i honestly went simple with a flowmaster 40 series. Quiet idle but soooo mean when you get on it. Growls nicely for a 4banger

2.5" should be good. I have that same muffler (Apex'i N1 Universal N/A) but on the i4 and most people like the sound. I have video clips if need be.

on ebay you can get the OBX headers/ypipe(JPP copies) and they are pretty cheap. or you can just take a photo of what your lookin for to an exhaust shop and have them fab ya up one.
