4th Generation Hids in Stock Housing

Ok I'm looking to purchase HID's (with glare shields) eventually, but I don't have enough money to invest in Projectors. I would like to see some pics of HID's in a Gen 4 housing. I searched but didn't see any. So post up please.

Thanks in advance

Shane

a guy around where i live does hid installations for cars for 130 with a one year warranty on parts and labor. i was about to dish out the cash to do it but the light spread makes it not worth it if you are using your stock headlights. you should do a retrofit and get some projectors in there so they dont blind ppl on the road. plus it looks way better.

I just got HID in stock housing they aren't too bright, and i have hardly any glare... I'll try and get pics up.
I didn't get the HID's for the light output, I had plenty with my fog's. I just wanted the awesome color.

Only bad thing, my fog's don't work anymore...

For the most part i find HID's work fine on stock headlamps... There are exceptions, like trucks/SUV's... they already ride far too high to add something like that.

U can finish a retrofit job for less than the cost of a HID kit ...

Same here, with 6000k.

Projectors will put out MUCH more light than the stock reflectors with HID bulbs, and really are worth it. Of course now it's nearly impossible to do a projector retrofit in a Gen 4.0 'cuz Greg Cheban (the only guy I know of) isn't reachable for making clear lenses.

^ You're joking right? We're supposed to make a judgment that your lamps have no glare based on that?

Yea if you definately got the time n want the best bang for your buck, do the retrofit. I on the other hand have very limited time n jus installed the HIDs in my stock reflectors .

I have a 98 Cam n did the gen 4.5 facelift. I have very minimal glare from my stock reflector housings, but do have the shields to minimize it too. I definately like the output. I have the 8000K kit installed.

The last photo i took for the sake of the color of the 8000K, it doesnt have that much glare to clarify
